FORMING A SYSTEM OF REGIONAL INDICATORS AND MONITORING MECHANISMS IN THE GREEN ECONOMY

Abstract

This article analyzes the theoretical and practical aspects of forming an indicator system and monitoring mechanisms for implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of green economy principles at the regional level. It explores the essence of the green economy, its core principles, and its significance in the global context. Special attention is given to the methodology for creating ecological, economic, and social green indicators that consider regional specificities. The article discusses effective monitoring mechanisms for continuously tracking these indicators, as well as methods for using them in the decision-making process. The study analyzes international experience and the peculiarities of green economy development in Uzbekistan, including the regulatory framework, achievements, existing challenges, and promising directions. This article will be useful for green economy policymakers and specialists.
