Geostationary broadband systems (after the failure of Iridium) received additional impetus for their development. In Europe, new projects based on geostationary satellites are being implemented under the programs Eutelsat, MEDSAT, EuroSkyWay, etc., in the USA - Asrolink, Cyberstar, EchoStar, KaStar.

Abstract

Future SSS projects (Ellipse, Constellation, SkyBridge, Teledesic, etc.) will determine new technical solutions for the implementation of broadband and multimedia communication services. [1]
