Abstract

This article looks at how to make producing polymer materials better, both in theory and in practice. The authors looked at what impacts how well things work, given that this industry never stops, uses a lot of power, is heavily automated, and relies on raw materials. They created a way to look at things and key performance indicators (KPIs) using methods like Lean, 5S, CMMS, OEE, and digital monitoring. This article is useful for polymer industry companies, engineers, and economists.
