CULTURAL BARRIERS AND THEIR IMPACT ON ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING IN NON-PHILOLOGICAL FACULTIES

Cultural barriers play a significant role in the process of learning English in non-philological faculties, where students often lack linguistic and intercultural exposure. This article explores the major cultural obstacles that hinder English language acquisition, including differences in communication styles, attitudes toward language learning, limited exposure to English-speaking environments, and culturally embedded educational traditions. Furthermore, it examines how these barriers affect students’ motivation, comprehension, and fluency in English. Finally, the paper suggests innovative pedagogical approaches to overcoming these challenges through intercultural communication strategies, digital learning tools, and task-based learning methodologies.
