SOCIAL MEDIA LANGUAGE: THE EVOLUTION OF ENGLISH AND ITS ROLE IN EDUCATION

This article deeply analyzes the impact of social media language on the evolution of English and the changes it is bringing to educational methods. Based on empirical data gathered from various social media platforms, it studies aspects such as new lexical and grammatical rules, slang and jargons, and contextual changes of language. Furthermore, the research examines the application of social media language in English teaching and its impact on learners' language acquisition processes. The results indicate that social media language is fundamentally altering the methods of learning and teaching English, which warrants further investigation in future studies
