Abstract

In this article the euphemistic expressions are defined and analyzed in terms of “birth and death” concepts. They are mild or indirect terms used to replace words or phrases that might be considered harsh, blunt, or unpleasant. This article gives a closer look at euphemisms, their functions, and examples, especially in the contexts of sensitive topics like birth and death.
