Abstract

This paper provides a comprehensive analysis of the green economy—seen as the art of leveraging societal and ecological potentials to drive sustainable development. By reviewing global concepts, frameworks, and policy instruments, it outlines principles underpinning the green economy, probes critical challenges of transitioning—especially through technological innovation and governance—and assesses country-level case studies, including Uzbekistan’s ambitious approach. The paper concludes with recommendations to strengthen green transitions in developing economies, positioning them within global sustainability agendas.
