Abstract

This article analyses the theoretical and practical foundations for developing design code solutions for architectural objects located in the historical areas of cities. It examines key principles employed in the design code as a tool for harmonising the architectural appearance of newly built and reconstructed buildings within historical contexts. These principles include the selection of materials, colour palettes, volumetric-spatial solutions, decorative elements, components of the external environment, and lighting techniques. Furthermore, the article explores design approaches that ensure a balance between the preservation of historical heritage and modern construction needs, aiming to scientifically substantiate the visual integrity of the historical architectural environment and its adaptability to contemporary urban requirements.
