Abstract

This article discusses the urgent importance of developing 21st-century skills in foreign language teachers. Modern educational processes require the use of digital technologies, artificial intelligence and the Internet, which requires the development of technical, digital and critical thinking skills in teachers. The article also analyzes problems such as the lack of these skills in rural areas, based on several foreign studies, and emphasizes the need for teacher’s adaptation to the innovative teaching requirements.
