The aim of the study: Assessment of the effectiveness of surgical treatment of patients with type II diabetes mellitus depending on the type of surgical intervention.

Abstract

According to WHO data, if in 2010 the number of people with diabetes mellitus in the world reached 280 million people, then by 2035 this figure is expected to reach 500 million people, and the main part of it, that is, 80-90%, is accounted for by patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM). Today, 1.9 billion people in the world suffer from excess weight, of which about 450 million are diagnosed with diabetes.
