this article discusses the influence of sowing dates and seeding rates of winter rapeseed variety “Yasna” on the formation of the root system. Studies have shown that increasing and decreasing standing density reduced indicators such as root length, root collar diameter and root weight. The timing of sowing influenced the formation of the root system. With early sowing, these indicators were the highest, and in the variant with late sowing, these indicators were the lowest.
