HOW CULTURAL DIFFERENCES AFFECT VERBAL AND NON-VERBAL COMMUNICATION IN THE WORKPLACE
Abstract
In today’s globalized world, workplaces are becoming increasingly multicultural. Employees from different cultural backgrounds bring diverse communication styles, values, and expectations. These differences significantly influence both verbal and non-verbal communication, which are essential for collaboration, productivity, and organizational harmony. This paper explores how cultural variations shape communication behaviors, identifies common challenges in intercultural interactions, and suggests strategies for improving cross-cultural communication in professional settings.
