LINGUOCULTURAL AND COGNITIVE INTERPRETATION OF LOVE IN AJINIYOZ’S LYRICS
Abstract
This thesis offers an in-depth investigation into the linguocultural and cognitive conceptualization of the concept of love in the lyrical poetry of Ajiniyoz Qosıbay Ulı, a distinguished 19th-century Karakalpak poet, thinker, and representative of the classical Turkic literary tradition. The study is situated within the interdisciplinary frameworks of cognitive linguistics, which examines how language reflects and shapes human thought and linguoculturology, which focuses on the interplay between language and culture . By analyzing Ajiniyoz’s poetic texts, the research seeks to uncover how the abstract and emotionally complex phenomenon of love is constructed, linguistically encoded, and culturally interpreted through poetic discourse that is both contextually rooted and cognitively motivated.
