Abstract

The rapid development of digital communication has significantly influenced language evolution, particularly in the realm of online media. Vocabulary serves as a primary index of cultural change, with science and technology playing a dominant role in shaping linguistic innovations. The rise of the Internet has led to the emergence of numerous neologisms directly related to digital communication. Each digital platform generates its own terminology, shaped by its functional presentation and user-driven linguistic creativity. The study of Internet neologisms highlights the dynamic nature of digital language, where many new terms emerge and fade rapidly, while only a few become long-term additions to the lexicon. The impact of mass communication on language is also evident in the development of new media genres and discourse strategies. Online media serve as both information distributors and interactive platforms, creating a unique communicative space characterized by non-linearity, multimodality, and interactivity.
