This article explores how national identity and cultural perceptions are constructed through media discourse in English and Uzbek contexts. It examines the cultural narratives, historical figures, and values emphasized in each media landscape, highlighting differences such as the global influence and multiculturalism in English media versus the focus on cultural heritage and sovereignty in Uzbek media. Theoretical perspectives on image construction, using metaphors and symbols, are analyzed to illustrate the interplay between language and cultural identity. A comparative analysis sheds light on how both media shape collective consciousness, fostering national pride and shaping international perceptions.
