Abstract

This article discusses the methodological methods of working with vocabulary in the process of teaching English as a foreign language. The article considers methods of working with vocabulary in teaching English as a foreign language. Methods aimed at developing vocabulary, improving pronunciation and learning idiomatic expressions are presented. The importance of dictionaries in expanding vocabulary, improving pronunciation, and understanding word forms is emphasized. Various methods of integrating dictionaries into language learning are shown, including vocabulary development, working with word families, pronunciation exercises, and the study of idiomatic expressions. With the help of practical examples and teaching techniques, students learn to use dictionaries effectively. These approaches are aimed at encouraging independent learning and improving language skills.
