EFFECTIVENESS OF NASOPHARYNGEAL IRRIGATION AND OTHER PHYSICAL THERAPY METHODS IN CHRONIC RHINOSINUSITIS
Abstract
Rhinosinusitis is a prevalent inflammatory condition affecting the nasal and sinus mucosa, often requiring multimodal treatment approaches. Physical therapy methods, including nasopharyngeal irrigation, inhalation therapy, ultrasound, and laser therapy, have been increasingly utilized to improve mucociliary clearance, reduce inflammation, and enhance patient outcomes. This paper evaluates the effectiveness of nasopharyngeal irrigation and other physical therapy techniques in managing rhinosinusitis, comparing their benefits to conventional pharmacological treatment.
