The rise of social media platforms has profoundly influenced the way people use language in daily communication. This study investigates how social media affects linguistic innovation, vocabulary change, and communication patterns, especially among younger generations. With the growing popularity of platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok, language has become more dynamic, abbreviated, and emotionally expressive. The study uses surveys and content analysis to explore how online language differs from traditional forms, including the creation of neologisms, acronyms, emojis, and informal grammar usage. Findings suggest that while social media encourages creativity and speed in communication, it also challenges traditional language norms.
