Cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara, Shahrisabz, and Herat witnessed grand architectural projects initiated by Amir Timur and his successors. Fortifications were erected around key cities, and monumental buildings such as the Ak-Saray Palace, Bibi-Khanym Mosque, and Shah-i-Zinda necropolis showcased the artistic and engineering prowess of the time.
