DEVELOPMENT OF THE SOCIAL SERVICES SYSTEM IN UZBEKISTAN AND THE EFFICIENCY OF THE MUNICIPALITY-BASED SYSTEM

This article discusses the importance of improving the social services system and the mahalla system in Uzbekistan. In particular, the role of the mahalla institution in socio-economic development, ensuring employment, developing entrepreneurship, strengthening social protection, and improving the quality of services through modern innovative approaches are considered. Social services in mahallas, measures to attract the population to economic activity, and state support are analyzed. Also, advanced methods that can be applied in the conditions of Uzbekistan are recommended, compared with foreign experience.
