This paper explores the functional-semantic realization of the concept of anger in English and Uzbek literary discourse. Drawing on conceptual metaphor theory, systemic functional linguistics, cultural pragmatics, and corpus evidence, the study examines how anger is expressed through metaphorical, grammatical, and lexical means. Through comparative analysis of literary texts such as Mario Puzo’s The Godfather and Tohir Malik’s Shaytanat, the paper demonstrates that anger is not only a universal human emotion but also a linguistically and culturally constructed phenomenon.
