Abstract

This article is devoted to exploring to the multifaceted concept of "eyes" in both the English and Uzbek languages, focusing on its symbolic, cultural, and linguistic significance. By analyzing the vocabulary, idiomatic expressions, and literary references associated with "eyes" in both languages, the article highlights the way in which the term extends beyond its biological function to convey deeper meanings related to perception, beauty, insight, and emotion. The study also compares and contrasts the usage of "eyes" in English and Uzbek, uncovering cultural differences in metaphorical expressions and literary representations. Through this comparative approach, the article sheds light on the broader relationship between language, culture, and human cognition, offering valuable insights into how linguistic structures shape the way we perceive and communicate complex ideas.
