Abstract

The article explores the integration of intercultural communicative competence in the English as a Foreign Language classroom.  Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through classroom observations, teacher interviews, and instructional material analysis in selected secondary schools. The findings reveal that while teachers recognize the importance of ICC, its practical application is often limited due to a lack of training and resources. However, when intercultural elements are incorporated through authentic materials and culturally relevant discussions, students show greater engagement and awareness.
