This thesis examines the critical balance between tourism development and ecological conservation in the Tashkent region of Uzbekistan. As recreational-tourism zones continue to expand across the region's diverse natural landscapes, from the Chatkal Mountains to the Chirchik River basin, significant environmental challenges have emerged. This research analyzes current conservation practices, identifies key vulnerabilities in local ecosystems, and proposes an integrated framework for sustainable tourism development. Through field research, stakeholder interviews, and comparative analysis of international best practices, this thesis presents actionable recommendations for policymakers, tourism operators, and local communities to preserve biodiversity while promoting economic growth through responsible tourism.
