Abstract

This article is based on Gafur Ghulom's short story "Shadows," in which the social and political condition of women is depicted. The author illustrates the attitude towards women during the time the story was written in great detail. The consequences of women’s ignorance of their rights are highlighted. This article shows how the attitude towards women has changed over the years.
