UNDERSTANDING ABSENTEEISM IN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS AND ITS IMPACT ON ACADEMIC AND FUTURE PROSPECTS

Absenteeism is becoming one of the growing problems among university students. While the reasons why students skip the lesson are vary, the impact on their academic life and on society on the whole is severe. Some students intentionally do not attend the lessons while other students skip because they take a break and can not arrive on time or they have to miss some lessons due to the distance and even some of them come to the school but do not attend the lessons. The purpose of article is explaining the concept of the absenteeism, the causes of it, its profound effect on student’ learning and society.
