Abstract

The effectiveness of school education largely depends on the regulatory frameworks and extracurricular activities provided within the educational system. This study examines the role of school rules and physical extracurricular tasks in influencing students’ learning processes across various countries. Through a comparative analysis of international experiences—Finland, Japan, the United States, Germany, and South Korea—this paper highlights the strengths and challenges of different approaches. A particular focus is given to how discipline and extracurricular tasks impact students' academic and social outcomes. The findings provide actionable insights for adapting best practices to improve educational systems globally, including those in post-Soviet countries.
