Colchicum autumnale o‘simligi tarkibidagi kolxitsin moddasining tibbiyotdagi qo‘llanilishi va zamonaviy tadqiqotlar natijalari haqida so‘z yuritiladi. Kolxitsin podagra, revmatizm, astma va dizenteriya kabi kasalliklarni davolashda samarali vosita sifatida qo‘llanilib kelinmoqda. Shuningdek, uning antioksidant, antimikrob va saraton hujayralariga qarshi ta’siri aniqlangan. Tadqiqotlar davomida kolxitsinning mikrotubulalar polimerizatsiyasini to‘xtatishi orqali hujayra bo‘linishini sekinlashtirishi va apoptoz jarayonini qo‘zg‘atishi saratonga qarshi davolashda ham samaradorligini ko‘rsatgan.
