The article analyzes the linguistic value of hydronyms, their formation, historical and etymological roots, and their role in reflecting the worldview and cultural memory of the people. It also covers the peculiarities of the territorial toponymic system, the semantic layers of hydronyms, and the linguoculturological characteristics.
