Authentic materials—real-life texts not originally designed for classroom use—are powerful tools in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teaching. They expose learners to real-world language, helping to improve communicative competence, cultural awareness, and motivation. However, the successful integration of authentic materials requires careful adaptation and alignment with students’ proficiency levels. This article explores the benefits, challenges, and practical methods for incorporating authentic materials into the Uzbek EFL context, offering activity ideas and teacher tips.
