This research paper explores the multifaceted role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing English Language Teaching (ELT). It analyzes how AI-powered tools—such as grammar checkers, chatbots, speech recognition software, and adaptive learning platforms—are reshaping the way learners acquire language skills. The study combines an in-depth review of academic literature with a student survey and reflective analysis to provide insight into both the advantages and limitations of AI in language education. Key benefits identified include personalized instruction, instant feedback, autonomous learning, and improved inclusivity. However, challenges such as digital inequality, over-reliance on automation, ethical concerns, and the need for teacher training are also critically examined. The research concludes that while AI presents vast opportunities for innovation in ELT, it must be integrated thoughtfully, with human oversight and pedagogical awareness.
