Abstract

This work explores taboos and euphemisms for the enhancement they can bring to IT based educational innovation. While modern digital platforms are targeting global audiences, it becomes of paramount importance that cultural nuances be given their due respect in order to keep the audience hooked and the learning really effective. This present paper discusses ways in which euphemism and awareness of taboos can enhance educational content in an effort to make learning situations more inclusive, especially within IT driven platforms of multicultural environments. Among some of the key findings, one can find a clear relation between culturally sensitive language and satisfaction and retention rates in a diverse classroom.
