INDICATORS OF ATHEROGENESIS AND NEUROLOGICAL CLINICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE INTERNAL CAROTID ARTERY
Keywords:
The study included 72 patients with asymptomatic internal carotid artery stenosis (<50%) and 20 volunteers without atherosclerosis. Patients were categorized into two subgroups: Group 1-A (32 patients) who underwent carotid endarterectomy, and Group 1-B (40 patients) who received medical treatment. Apo-A1 and Apo-B levels were measured before and six months after surgery to assess cardiovascular disease risk.Abstract
To evaluate the clinical-neurological and molecular correlation of biomarkers in the development of atherosclerosis in patients with asymptomatic carotid artery stenosis.
