This study explores the effectiveness of visual aids in enhancing vocabulary acquisition in English language learning, particularly among beginner-level students. Drawing upon the theoretical perspectives of language acquisition and multimodal learning, the research underscores the importance of incorporating visual materials—such as pictures, charts, models, and realia—into the language classroom. These aids not only enrich learners' sensory engagement but also contextualize linguistic input, aiding in the retention and comprehension of new vocabulary. The study further investigates the role of visual aids in supporting communicative competence and highlights their potential in minimizing native language interference, especially through methods like the Audio-Lingual Method. Through classroom observation and practical application, including the use of picture cards and task-based activities, findings reveal a significant improvement in students’ vocabulary development and engagement. Special attention is also given to learners with specific needs, such as autistic students, whose responses to visual-based instruction are carefully documented. The results emphasize the pedagogical value of multimodality and advocate for its broader implementation across diverse educational contexts.
