Abstract

With the global shift toward digital education, online platforms have become central to English language exam preparation. However, online test-prep courses often emphasize memorization and repetitive drills, which can hinder learner motivation and limit critical engagement. This paper explores how creativity can be used as a pedagogical tool to enhance the effectiveness of online preparation for standardized English exams such as IELTS and TOEFL. By integrating creative strategies—such as digital storytelling, gamified testing, and collaborative platforms—language instructors can foster learner autonomy, reduce test anxiety, and improve communicative competence.
