Abstract

Differentiated Instruction (DI) has emerged as a vital pedagogical approach in language teaching, addressing the diverse needs of learners with varied linguistic backgrounds, cognitive abilities, and learning styles. While DI enhances student engagement and language acquisition, its implementation presents several challenges, including teacher workload, curriculum constraints, assessment difficulties, and limited institutional support. This paper explores the primary challenges educators face in integrating DI strategies into language classrooms and examines research-based solutions to overcome these obstacles. By reviewing empirical studies and best practices, the paper highlights effective differentiation techniques, teacher training recommendations, and institutional policies that support sustainable DI practices. The findings suggest that collaborative teaching models, adaptive technology, and professional development programs play a crucial role in overcoming barriers to DI implementation. Ultimately, this study contributes to the ongoing discourse on differentiated language instruction, emphasizing the importance of research-driven solutions to enhance teaching effectiveness and learner outcomes.
