LICE STRUCTURE, LIFE CYCLE AND DISEASES

The body of lice is flattened in the dorso-ventral direction and consists of three parts: head, chest and abdomen.Eyes are normal,some do not have them.The oral apparatus is constructed in the sucking type: apair af maxillae, hypopharynx and lower lip in the form of a long nose are located inside the pharynx.A head louse is in the hair and attaches its eggs to the hair.Belly in the scalp, it attaches its eggs to the hair .The pigmented spots on both sides of the abdominal segments are light in color ,and the chitinous covering the body is very thin, even smeared blood is visible
