Abstract

This study explores the impact of literature in foreign language education by comparing traditional instruction with a literature-based approach. Over three months, researchers evaluated two groups of English learners (aged 12-14) using a mixed-methods design. Group B, exposed to literature, showed greater vocabulary growth, comprehension, and engagement than Group A, which followed conventional methods. Results indicate literature enhances critical thinking and cultural awareness, with Group B demonstrating a 25% vocabulary increase and a 30% rise in cultural interest. Despite limitations in duration and scope, findings support integrating literature into language curricula for improved linguistic and intercultural skills.
