Abstract

In this article  we study the history of the English language and phrasal verbs. Let's find out why there are so many phrasal verbs in the English language, and why we most often have more than one word to define actions. I'll also talk about colloquial and formal speaking styles, why there are so many words to choose from to express yourself in English, and how phrasal verbs came to be.
