Mazkur maqolada timus (ko‘krak bezi)ning gistologik tuzilishi, uning ontogenezdagi o‘zgarishlari va immun tizimdagi o‘rni atroflicha tahlil etilgan. Timus T-limfotsitlar differensiasiyasi va yetilishi uchun asosiy organ hisoblanadi. Tadqiqot davomida timusning tuzilmasi – korteks va medulladan tashkil topgani, u yerda limfoid hujayralar, epitelial retikulyar hujayralar, shuningdek, Gassal tanachalari mavjudligi ko‘rsatib o‘tilgan. Ushbu maqolada shuningdek, timus faoliyatining yosh bilan bog‘liq regressiyasi va uning immun tizimga ko‘rsatadigan ta’siri, xususan T-hujayra yetishmovchiligi va autoimmun kasalliklar rivojlanishidagi o‘rni yoritilgan. Gistologik jihatdan timusdagi o‘zgarishlar immunologik yetuklik darajasiga bevosita ta’sir qilishi tufayli, mazkur bezning o‘rganilishi klinik va eksperimental immunologiyada muhim ahamiyat kasb etadi.
